On Sunday, 6th February 2011 at the ASH offices in Lilongwe delegates representing branches throughout Malawi met under the guidance of Founder/Chairman Dr. Paul Munyenyembe to review progress and to chart the way forward. In the first few years of operation, due to low numbers, ASH was run very informally. With increasing numbers the delegates were able to appoint a full board of directors. Paul Munyenyembe was unanimously re-appointed as Chairman even though he is resident in neighbouring Zambia. The importance of the gravitas that he lends to the Association far outweighs the administrative inconvenience. Harold Williams was appointed Vice-Chairman. That was thought to be sufficient for most current activities. Besides, all office holders remain in frequent contact by email and operations are orchestrated by ex-officio board member, Executive Secretary, the ever active Goerge Thindwa who has done much to raise the profile of Secular Humanism in Malawi.
Names of all board members with specific areas of responsibilities and contact details will be posted here in due course.
